Stories are roomy and accommodating, whereas facts are confined and exclusionary.”
~ Josh Stearns, Journalism & Public Media Campaign Director at Free Press
I was delighted to stumble upon these quotes, that like Michael Margolis‘, talked about the power of storytelling… not just in life, but in business as well. I of course have blabbering – seemingly forever – about the power of storytelling in brand building. Stories connect people on an emotional level, it’s a natural and instinctive part of our upbringing – regardless of cultural background – for stories and the practice of storytelling are present in any culture. And if we stop telling and listening to stories, the human race will come to a screeching halt! And its existence will go “poof”…!
Part of telling a new story
has to be telling it in new ways.”
