If you’ve ever wondered just how big global brands can get, here’s a visual look. Some can get bigger than countries’ GDP! Check it out. The following visual maps were created for INA (International Network Archives) of Princeton University by Jonathan Harris of Flaming Toast Productions.
[Note: the data is rather old, from 2003, but it gives a good idea of the size of the biggest brand in the restaurant business, McDonald’s, and the other relevant brands in the same field]. The other notable brand that’s mentioned in the visual map is the king of Coffee, Starbucks. Check out there global dominance.
This pair of maps show the global presence of Starbucks coffee shops and McDonald’s restaurants. When examined graphically, both companies act as global hubs that connect some of the world’s poorest, most remote countries with some of the wealthiest.
