Design + Aesthetics | A modern take on the wash basin

An interesting take on the wash basin. I don’t know how functional it is, whether it splashes water all over. When traveling and sampling boutique hotels all over the world, many of which make design as an essential part of their Brand Positioning, the old adage in Architecture + Design: “Form Follows Function” isn’t always heeded. Aesthetics overbear function, and in the case of wash basins, I always test how well it stays dry when I wash my face. It’s a simple test I make a point of doing.

Now back to this wash basin design: it sure looks great, but will it pass the “face washing test”?
