Quotes + Thoughts | Edison on alternative energy (circa 1934!!)

If you’ve always wondered whether the debate on our heavy reliance on oil and the existence of alternative energy sources is something that politically-motivated global leaders just brought to the world attention of late… (I’ve been pondering the same thing for many many years!). Here’s proof, that even in early last century one very famous figure in the sciences and business world had uttered the same thought! None other than Thomas Edison.

“We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature’s inexhaustible sources of energy–sun, wind and tide. I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.

~ Thomas Edison, Inventor, Thinker, Entrepreneneur
