Lighter side of branding | The human side of technology… [3]

Logo_Apple_US-10At its fundamental core, technology are man-made tools that provide solutions to every day problems and challenges. They help us make things better, easier, faster, stronger, and more efficient. And when you throw in the human side of it, then you get a very compelling role of technology.

Such is the message in this TVC campaign from Apple on the latest version of their smart phone, the iPhone 5. And the ad ends with the following voice over:

“Every day, more photos are taken with the iPhone than any other camera.”

Oh, and by the way, what a POWERFUL STATEMENT!!!! Which also explain why sales of entry-level “point & shoot” digital cameras are flat in most parts of the world, and declining in others. They can’t compete with all the smartphones flooding the market! And don’t even let me get started on the Korean smartphones… industry secret: … they’re already smarter and more advanced than iPhone 5!
